Our Story

Our journey started with a simple yet powerful idea: to move away from mass tourism and create unique, personalized experiences that turn into lifelong memories. Macarena, our founder, is an adventure tourism guide with a specialization in high mountain expeditions from the Universidad de la Frontera. After living in Canada for a year, she experienced diverse cultures and adopted a philosophy of doing things right, no matter what.

The tourism industry in Chile is often likened to a "sausage factory" – high demand but poor and scarce offerings. At Tour Lab Chile, we strive to break this mold by providing tailored experiences that feel like family adventures. Every tour ends with an invitation to visit the clients' home country, showcasing the deep connections we build during our tours.

Tour Lab Chile was founded with a mission to enhance the quality of tourism experiences in Santiago, particularly for English-speaking visitors. Our story began when our founder, Macarena, was tasked with creating a tour division for a company. When the project couldn't be sustained, she seized the opportunity to transform it into her own venture, offering unique, personalized tours to anyone interested.

Macarena: Founder and Adventure Tourism Guide with a specialization in mountain expeditions, professional drone pilot, and self-taught cook with extensive experience.

Valentina: Clinical psychologist with a specialization in neuroscience, dancer for fun, and professional DJ.

Milena: Adventure Tourism Guide with a mountain specialization, certified canyoning guide, ski instructor, and bilingual (English-Spanish).

Nicolás: Professional driver certified by the Chilean Ministry of Transport and automotive mechanical engineer.
